I was one of the judges at Sheffield Universities pitch club on Friday Night. Great fun and some great, some crazy and some student ideas but eight students had the courage to stand up and pitch their ideas.
Well done to everyone and in particular the winner of the £100 prize for his bath thermometer idea

Probably the last big update from the VuAir Portugal trip.
Today was a dream day… it had everything, including a lot of flying and no hiccups. I’m a happy man (:

Yesterday was a very difficult day. In contrast, today was simply awesome.

The planning from yesterday really paid off, and the weather finally played in our favour too.
With a VuAir first of 7 flights in one day, this time we hit the jackpot. Amazing footage of one of Portugal’s most beautiful rivers (Tejo) in various locations. This picture is just a breadcrumb.

Today was light on flying and heavy on driving, planning and scouting for locations.
However we did fly over a big old olive tree (estimated 2000+ years old) and if everything goes well should have some very good locations for tomorrow.

Today was a long day, and very eventful!
I’ll sum it up in stats and pictures:
Hours sleep: 4
Hours driving: 9
Hours Flying: 2
Trees clipped: 2
Boat rides: 2
Got tons of footage and a very happy customer.
Tomorrow is set to be a very big day again.

Andre is in Portugal on his first job. Catch up with what he is doing here:
Thursday pm
I arrived at home (Sendim) today at around 4pm and there was still enough light to do a couple of flights so I decided to start training on the quad in my backyard.
It is definitely very different and very cool to fly the Quad in FPV. Still need to balance the props to get rid of all the vibrations on the footage but the video for sure has a very interesting flow.
