- You will be given a little nest to develop your idea
- Our design team will come out of their lair to help you
- We'll make sure no nasty bugs come along and try to steal your idea
- We'll introduce you to a colourful group of marketers
- and because you're on a salary you won't need to worry about food
- By now you'll have a Blue Peter model of your idea which we will put into our rapid prototype machine
- Our headmistress will be looking at your education and we will start to plug any gaps in your business education
- We will try to find you a mate from the marketers who will help you develop your CV for the idea
- We will send you out to market to talk to a very strange tribe, the customer tribe about your idea
- We will find you some tools which will enable you to start making some product
- Somewhere in our forest we will try and find you a tree where you can start to make your product
- You are now a spotty teenager who is ready to conquer the world with your idea
- We will plan a launch party with you (grown ups invited!)
- We will sit down and agree terms for our new team
- We will go to the bank manager to get the funding to set up the business
- You are now the general manager of your new business and making and selling product to the customer tribe worldwide
- You are now the eagle in charge of your own destiny, and you will have flown your nest
- You are running your own business and making money
- inspire future broods and become a member of our growing family of successful companies
What we offer
Incub is offering a unique package to a select number of people who have a world beating idea in any market but may be lacking the expertise to bring a product to market, the funding to develop the product or the knowledge to exploit the opportunity.
If you become a cub we will fund you to develop your idea within our new Ideas and Innovation facility. We will agree an equitable contract, fund the development costs, pay you a salary during the development and provide training and support to enable the idea to be quickly brought to market.
Our aim is to create long term sustainable businesses which will provide employment in South Yorkshire.
What's the catch?
Well we don't think there is one. We're however only looking for exceptional ideas so we will run with a small number of cubs. Our business is built on mutual trust, and all of our key business decisions have been done on a handshake. As a result we are not going to get bogged down in drafting complicated legal agreements.
And finally if we are to add value and accelerate your idea to marketplace our model is based on shared ownership of both the IP and the subsequent business. If you see these points as issues we are not likely to get in to bed together!
